Join us for a Blooming Girls painting workshop here at DOMAIN by Laura Hodges Studio , Saturday, June 17th from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
Create abstract floral paintings with Richmond artist Theodora Miller. She will share her inspirational story from brain injury to full-time artist and guide you through a hands-on process of painting and collating a Blooming Girls painting.
You’ll explore painterly brushstrokes and play with colorful paint chips from her recycled palette papers. Each blossom will have its own details, texture and imperfections that will make her complex, graceful, beautiful and wise.
About the Artist:
Sometimes our darkest moments reveal a more beautiful way. After a traumatic brain injury forced Theodora Miller into complete isolation and cognitive rest, artful living took on a new meaning; it became an essential part of her healing.
Today, Theodora has a thriving creative practice and signature style as a visual artist, ceramicist and creative entrepreneur. She is endlessly inspired by her Greek heritage, ancient symbols, travels and emotions. Each soulful creation carries intricate details, texture and a story.
Miller’s creations reside in corporate collections and in homes across the globe. She is based in Richmond, Virginia, but her spirit dwells on an island in the Aegean Sea.
